Ashlee Simpson arrived in New York City earlier today for a taping of MTV’s Total Request Live which is due to air on Thursday.  The actress was asked about pregnancy rumors that have been swirling around her ever since her engagement was announced with boyfriend (now fiance) Pete Wentz.

 

“I just think it’s an inappropriate question to ask any woman,” she said.

“For me, that’s something that I didn’t ever want to respond to, because I think it’s an inappropriate question,” Simpson said.

“Some things, you want to keep personal,” she added, “and I think that when people deny [reports], it’s probably because it’s something they want to keep personal.”

 

When asked about the details of her engagement Ashlee refused to budge.

“That’s all so sacred, I need to keep that to myself,” she said. “But he did a great job at picking out the ring,” which she said is being resized.
